  • Cuffed ETT: 3.0 mm ID
  • Uncuffed ETT: 3.5 mm ID
  • Blade: Miller 1
  • SGA/LMA: size 1–1.5
  • Suction: 8 Fr

Stage before the attempt

  • Stage one ETT size smaller and one size larger.
  • Prepare suction, BVM/PEEP/filter, EtCO₂, SGA, and cric/FONA escalation per local policy.
  • Use measured weight, length-based tape, or pharmacy reference when available.

Vent start reminder

Use weight-based VT as an initial teaching estimate, then titrate to mechanics, oxygenation, ventilation, and pediatric ICU/RT guidance.
